Mange 911 negative stocks

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I had stocks in my bin 99

Then I did a TO for 2 and and confirmed only 1

In LX02 my bin stock reduced to 97 and 999 stock type -1 and 911 stock type -1

I cleared 999 from LI21.

Then I did a bin transfer to 911 from my bin to clear -1 quantity in 911, my bin stock reduced to 96.

Where Ideally I have issued 3 from my bin (Stocks). This is wrong and please advice me with the correct process.

Thanks,

Buddhi

Hi Buddhi,

Hope this helps

When you are moving stock to 911 in order to clear the negative balance it is basically to ensure that you are keeping the IM/WM quantities in Sync. You had already created a material document for 2 EA from IM but in WM you recorded a loss of 1 unit so you are backfilling the quantity which had already been issued out of inventory in IM. Hence you are issuing 2 units for cost center & one recorded as Lost resulting with a reduction of 3 units from your stock.

If the user confirmed 1 and the other 1 went to storage type 999, that is because of the difference indicator the user selected - indicating that the material was lost or damaged, etc. Then you cleared using LI21 which means you just got rid of that inventory from your system - IM & WM.

Where Ideally I have issued 3 from my bin (Stocks). This is wrong and please advice me with the correct process.

Yes, you did issue 3 and 99-3 = 96. What is the question again?

Hi Jurgen,

Thanks alot for your response.

This is completely a new material which we did GR yesterday. But user has only confirmed 1 out of 2 from the last goods issue. In WM quantity wise its wrong right?

Thanks,

Buddhi

agree, but the input is too vague - Is there a difference between the storage location stock in MMBE and the total warehouse stock?

How can we know that 96 is wrong? How do you know? have you been outside in the warehouse and counted it?

We would need to see and analyze the development - e.g. starting with the movements in MB51 and then comparing and analyzing the WM transport orders to know whats going on.
