Do I need more domain experience before getting sap certification?

Hi, this is Madhura from Pune, India. I have an experience of around one year in Sales and Marketing in India. I am thinking of doing SAP certification in the SD module. I require your guidance on whether I will get a job after getting certified or I need more domain experience before applying for a sap certification course to find a job?
