SAP Portal upgrade from 7.31 to 7.5

Dear All,

We are using SAP EP 7.31 at the moment and are planning to upgrade to 7.5 release.

1. Do we need any additional hardware/storage/infrastructure for the upgrade? My understanding is it may not be required. We are planning for an in-place upgrade i.e. same box will be upgraded.

2. We have ECC 6.0 EHP 6 in the landscape. Can Portal 7.5 version work with this version of ECC? Do we need to upgrade ECC also for compatibility?

3. Are there any tools/accelerators/solutions which can help to migrate to new version? We have done lot of customization on branding and would like to know if this can be migrated easily in Fiori framework?

4. We have BEX/Business Objects Dashboards also liked to SAP Portal? Do they work in the newer version as well or any retrofit is required?

A very helpful website that we provide to customers for checking these upgrades is the Product Availability Matrix. This shows nearly all information that you would require. You just need to search the system you are using e.g. SAP NetWeaver 7.5:
