CAL - Trial Expired

I understand there is a blog on how to extend your SAP System beyond the trial period by using the 'Unlock' option.

I checked yesterday and the option was visible. Logged into SAP and could see that license was supposed to expire on 3/5. So, I thought of renewing in the weekend.

Now, I see that my instance is Suspended.

Failed Operation:Resume

On Step :Check solution for trial expiration

Message The activation of the solution have expired; you cannot activate the instance

Now, another point is I had set up my Azure account as a Free account but did change it to Pay As You go model..

Now, I have not able to figure out - what has expired because I did set up both 30 days back. If it is SAP - why did it show in SLICENSE as 3/5. If it Azure - I would be surprised because I can see "Subscriptions:Pay-As-You-Go"

What is the way forward to get back the access?

Thanks Stanimir. It turned out there was a issue with the IP configurations after the restart. Issue is resolved.

Can you please let me know if I need to apply new license in transaction SLICENSE?

Note for others: Please not that the (external) ips of the system will change with each suspend/active cycle if the static ip option was not selected during provisioning.

I purchased the SAP CAL subscription after the expiry of the trial. Now, when I go to the Solution and the instances I see it changed from 'Suspended' to 'Activated'. Everything is green.

But I see the IPs have changed.

I can connected to the NWA URL but not able to login to the ABAP system or the Fiori Launchpad. Why is this so?

Is it because of the license? When I go to request a license what is the Installation Number I have to select? All I see is S/4 Hana On Premise under installation data.

Please guide.

Hello Bidwan,

You can't activate your instance because the 30-day free trial expired yesterday. You accepted the corresponding terms and conditions in SAP CAL 31 days ago. So the way to activate the instance is to unlock the solution as described in the blog

What you see in SLICENSE is the temporary license key for S/4HANA. If you decide to unlock the solution, the next step will be to install a permanent license key. For more information, see the Licenses section in the Getting Started Guide.
