Purchasing Group - Assignment

Hi

Please advise me whether we can restrict Purchase group with Purchasing organisation and / or Plant and /or User.

In a large Manufacturing company for example, we want to restrict the P.Group from generating P.orders for other plants than that of his own. ( broad example)...

Hi,

We are not assigning purchasing groups to purchasing organization. So we can't say that particular groups can be used for a purchasing organization.

If you have to use in the above fashion then develop a ztable in which u r going to mention, purchasing org and its associated purchasing groups. Then use an User exit, whenever user enters purchasing org and purchase group in the purchase order system has to validate it from the Ztable, if no entry found then system has to throw an error. This is one way to go about.

M_Best_EKG and M_Best_EKO in SU24 for ME21N. On

generating POs there was no change.

Please reply about the next step to ensure that it

works.

Hi Parthasarathy,

You can set EKG parameter with your purchasing group value in the userID in su01 (and parameter tab)

Looks like the user has the required authorization to perform the task

Go to tcode S_BCE_68001396 and check the results for the objects M_BEST_EKG Purchasing Group and M_BEST_EKO Purchasing Organization

Hi ,

If you want to user ID with Purchasing group & maintain the relation ship, then you can go for Z-Table where you can maintain Purchasing group ,decsription , User id, email address & Purchasing Org.

we have done the same in our project to have that relation ship -Purchasing group with user ID but have not restricted the Purchasing groups from Cross plant Purchasing.

Yes, as mentioned in your example, for PO creation transaction (ME21N) , maintain M_BEST_EKG Purchasing Group in Purchase Order and M_BEST_EKO Purchasing Organization in Purchase Order to achieve the desired restriction. (tcode su24)

You can do the similar setting for any other tcode
