Hi all,
I installed visual composer 6.0 on Enterprise Portal Server.I also installed Adobe SVG3.0 and MSXML Parser 4.0 on that system. When I am trying to launch the Visual composer using the URL http://<hostname>.<domain>:1000/VCServer I am facing an error that you are not authorised to view this page.I ha done the installation as Administrator and I am also trying to access the VC as Administrator.I found in some of the threads that the user should be give the VCRole.I had not given the VCRole to Administrator as I dont know how to do that.I logged on to my portal and searched for VCRole but I could not find.I found the role GUIM and I mapped it to the Administrator.Could some please tell me how to add VCRole to user. And last question doi need to install VC again after adding VCrole to Administrator. Please help me.

Hi,
What version of VC are you using?
In NW04s, the VCRole is an EP role that is provided as part of the VC installation. It seems funny that you can't find it. Generally you will need it in order for VC to function properly.
So I would suggest to go over the installation again and make sure that all the files are deployed. VCRole should be part of the initial content.
Hope this helps,
Lior

Hi,

1) Login as administrator, and go to User Administration -> Identity management
2) search for the user (administrator) and click on the search result.
3) The details of the user will be listed in the below table. Click on modify button and select Assigned roles Tab in the below table.
4) In available roles search area, search for VCRole (select all databases in the dropdown) and search. It is available at pcd:portal_content/com.sap.gm.cnt/core
5) If the role is listed in available roles search result, select it by clicking the margin and then click add. Then click the save button . (the role will be moved to assigned roles table on the right).
6)Login into VC and see whether the page is coming.

Sooraj
