Dislay attribute on all node levels of a hierarchy

Dear Gurus,

I created a query on an InfoObject that has several attributes and a hierarchy. The InfoObject itself is in the rows of the query (and the hierarchy is selected through a variable.

As I want to report on the hierarchy only, no columns are added to the query.

I selected a number of free characteristics that can be shown during query navigation. Of course, all these Free Characteristics are attributes of the InfoObject.

When executing the query and navigating with the free characteristics, the query displays unexpected results. Only on the lowest level, the correct value for the attribute is shown. On all other levels a sumarization of the values of the leaves is shown. I'll try to explain it more in detail in an example with a hierarchy that has 2 levels.

Example 1: only the hierarchy is shown

|0001 | (Hierarchy level 1)

| >1234| (Hierarchy level 2)

| >2345| (Hierarchy level 2)

| >3456| (Hierarchy level 2)

Example 2: display an attribute in the rows (expected result)

|0001 |<b>Hardware</b>| (Hierarchy level 1)

| >1234|Keyboard| (Hierarchy level 2)

| >2345|Mouse | (Hierarchy level 2)

| >3456|Monitor | (Hierarchy level 2)

Example 3: display an attribute in the rows (system behaviour)

|0001 |Keyboard| (Hierarchy level 1)

Mouse

Monitor

| >1234|Keyboard| (Hierarchy level 2)

| >2345|Mouse | (Hierarchy level 2)

| >3456|Monitor | (Hierarchy level 2)

As all levels in the hierarchy are Characteristic Nodes that have their own attributes, I would expect the system to show the attribute values belonging to the Characteristic, regardless the hierarchy level.

Is anybody familiar with this query behaviour and is a solution available?

Thanks in advance,

Robert Boneschansker

    Hi,

Did you manage to solve this - I have the same requirement now.
