Last Transaction Date

Hello Business ByDesign Experts,

I am trying to help a client write a report that will help them depreciate old inventory. In this report they would like to see for each product in a particular warehouse what is the last shipment date, last purchase order date, last receipt date and last invoice date. The only data source that is helpful is the Stock Overview data source which has last pick-up and last put-away dates. However, these dates are not reliable for tracking actual shipments or receipts since bin-to-bin movements update these dates.

The inventory ageing report will not suffice for this requirement. I cannot find any other data sources that can help me do this. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Hi Brad,

You can try to check the Purchasing Documents - Line Items report and also include characteristics via Add Fields. See Dimension: Purchasing (Financials) and also Dimension: Product may be useful.

Thanks for the reply. Using the report that you mentioned I am able to get the last transaction date that refers to a specific PO, however, I am not able to single out just receipt dates or last PO created date. That would not quite be sufficient though either because I do not want it by PO, but rather last receipt date for the product. I will keep checking the different data sources to see what I can find.

I also checked and so far I cannot find a similar last transaction date for customer invoices.

In the meantime, I guess we are going to have to try and think of another way to get the same information.
