0MAT_PLANT_ATTR and fields hidden by SAP

Hi all,

We could see with ROOSFIELD that base unit of measure in 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR are "hidden by SAP".

Is there any reason for that ? What is the point of vu from SAP ?

We have seen in 0matplantattr-extension-error

that we can make an ABAP program. Is there another solution ? and which one SAP recommend ?

Best regards

It is bug that has quite often been noticed.

Whenever a new field is added SAP checks it as both "hidden" and "Known only in Customer exit". The recommended procedure is to goto RSA6 -> Datasource -> Edit -> Change the option.

But sometimes this option is not enabled that when you need to use the program.

Do not use the program unless you know ABAP and are sure of the code as ROOSFIELD is a critical and corrupting ROOSFIELD may result in huge implications.

    • Hello Fabrice,

I am also facing the same problem. I want to use quantity fields in datasource. I changed the value SELECTION to ' ' in ROOSFIELD table for one of the quantity field but it gave me error

"Units field MEINS for field EISBE of DataSource 0MAT_PLANT_ATTR is hidden".

If anybody has solution then please do reply.
