LO Extractor

I am currently extracting field BESTA from the VASTI datasource. I am wondering what this field represents, and where its values can be viewed on a screen that an end user would see.

I have seen its values in SE11 and the table level, but I am wondering how to tie those fields back to a screen which an end user would interact with or view.

I guess this question is even more general then just the BESTA field from table VBUP.

Can someone help me figure out a good way to establish where the table field is represented to a user, (outside of using F1 on every field in a particular screen for process of elimination).

    Hi Nick,

generaally durig the implementation if we dont understand(incase of new developers with not much experience) where a particular field related to BW is filled in R/3. We query it from th user asking or mailing him in which R/3 transaction that particular field is filled and after going to that transaction select the particular field and see F1 help and see the technical details i.e which table in R/3 the field is mapped to. And to find out how a R/3 table is mapped to which data source you check the SDN forum search and i am very sure u will get he links related to it. Assign points if you find it helpful.
