In the Data Architect, version 12.00.0.0, no updates available, I've created a FoxPro (DBF) type, added 2 fields, 1 is datatype character, size , Index no, the second is a memo field. Both fieldnames are valid. I click Ok and then get Error 5012: The field definition specified for the table was not valid. Field definition contains too many values. Missing semicolon? The problem field definition is: "RELATIE, CHARACTER, 7,0,();".

So I can not create a database. It seems to me that I can not do much else?

Use the SQL window for this:

create table test
(
field_1 char(70),
field_2 memo
)

works like a charm

Alternatively you can use ARC 11 for this, as the DBF format hasn't changed between the last ADS versions.

Hello Joachim,

Thanks for the workarounds. I somehow expected this to work in ARC 12 as well. Can someone from SAP report this as a bug from this post?
