Explain ALV toolbar options

Can someone provide me with documentation or an explanation on the ALV toolbar options. I need help on the following options:

1. How do I use the Copy option? I select it and it does nothing.

2. How do I use Insert with overwrite and Insert in new row? What is the difference between these two options?

3. What is the difference between Cut and Delete row?

4. When I select Append, some fields are pre-populated. How does ALV know which fields to pre-populated and which values to use?

Thanks.

Sandy

    • And coming to

      4th option

4.i am not getting any prepopulated values in my program when ii press append button It depends on coding and check inside program.

it really depends on coding. when you remove all the lines using delete and then press append row button and see.

But if you have data in the grid then it will take the record which is already existing one and creating it with some blank fields.

    1. select the line and press Copy Button , now click on

    Insert with overwrite

    2. insert with overwrite is over in step 1, insert a new row a new balnk row will be inserted

3.Cut you can paste using insert with overwrite or Insert a new Row

but delete you can't get that back.

4.i am not getting any prepopulated values in my program when ii press append button It depends on coding and check inside program.
