Setting SMS Configuration

Can anyone help me in setting the configuration for sending SMS from SAP? Please tell how can it be done with "SCOT".

Its pleasure to read your message. I am working with ABAP since 10month. In one scenario, i have to send SMS to customer. so can u tell me how to code for SMS in ABAP?

in SCOT u have use Address Node Pager.

As of my knowledge, there is no special settings for SMS. Normal configuration of sending external mail would suffice the requirement.

whenever we send an SMS we used to use external(internet address) like 004434231234@vodafone.co.uk.

If your system is configured for sending external mail then you can send an SMS to any mobile (Subject your phone based on service provider's settings)

If SCOT is not congigured then your basis guy should help you in configuration.
