Hi priya,
Source system connectivity, in general
-
The first requirement is that both R/3 and BW clients should have been assigned to logical systems, you can check that or do that in Transaction code SALE.
RFC destination should have been created for R/3 in BW and BW in R/3 using the transaction code SM59. when defining the RFC destination log on details use the back ground user of the system type as login user from the RFC destination.
R/3 back ground user should have the profile
R/3 RFC user:
S_BI-WX_RFC
Add to R/3 RFC user:
B_ALE_ALL
S_IDOC_ALL
BW background user should have the profile
BW RFC user:
S_BI-WHM_RFC
S_RS_ALL
The user names can be any thing as long as they have the above mentioned profiles, but generally R/3 back ground user name is ALEREMOTE and BW back ground user name is BWALEREMOTE.
Similarly maintain the logical system names of R/3 in BW and BW in R/3.
Now from RSA1 you can create the R/3 Source system for BW.
