How To Use DTP Option 'Get All New Data Request By Request' For InfoCube?

Hi,

We are running BW 7.31 SP19.

I am creating a new data process, and I'm trying to load 24 million historical records. This large load is causing issues when I attempt to load the InfoCube, so I'd like to load it one request at a time (the DSO has nine requests).

I have selected the 'Get All New Data Request By Request' option on the Extraction tab, but the DTP is still creating 474 data packages (50,000 records each) and loading all of the records in one request.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to get the DTP to perform the load request by request?

Thank you very much for your help!

In your case better to use 'Get one request only' option,

DTP change mode --> Extraction Tab--> select 'Get All New Data request By Request --> Uncheck 'Retrieve Untill No More New Data'.

Then activate the DTP.

Trigger the DTP nine times , only when previous trigger completes. This is because you have 9 request in DSO to load into cube.

You can validate how much request has been selected in each trigger from DTP monitor-->Header Tab-->Selection.

Hope this will solve your purpose.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response, for some reason I didn't get notified of the replies.

Md Ekram, I do not see an option for 'Retrieve Until No More New Data'. I had found posts that said that option needed to be used in conjunction with the 'Get All New Data Request By Request', but again, I don't see the 'Retrieve Until No More New Data' option (see attached screenshot.

Mario Tibollo, the requests in the DSO were loaded and activated one at a time.

Thanks again for your help!
