Is there such solution in Data Services / Information Steward?

Hello Experts!

I have a question regarding data cleansing. We already cleansed the data, all is tested, it works fine etc. I wonder if there is such solution provided by SAP that during creation process of new data there is some option to set an alert or something, that would signal the user that such data already exists. The question is also, if it works live - the user becomes immediately the information that the data is duplicated or becomes that information only as the result of some job.

Question concerns SAP Information Steward and SAP Data Services.
