Hello,
I'm considering deleting my old SAP Solution Manager and installing me a new 7.2 Solution Manager.
On first look into the Downoad section I see only SAP Solution Manager SR1 which is SP1 I think?
Is there a direct installation to the current SP4 existing or do I need to install SP1 and update its SP level?
Hi Dennis
You can incorporate the update in your installation process but that still means that SWPM will call up SUM in the end to perform the update to SP4 after the installation ends. So there is no need to config first and then patch but you do have to patch indeed, the installation DVD content is indeed SP1.
Best regards
Tom

Hi Dennis
Please Check below(for you choose target as SP04)
https://blogs.sap.com/2016/08/18/plan-your-solution-manager-72-sp3-with-maintenance-planner/
you can perform the same steps and then generate 2 stack files one for ABAP and another for JAVA.
Thanks
Prakhar
