Update of Activity Consumption in the Quantity Structure

Dear Experts,

I have a question about Update of Activity Consumption in the Quantity Structure configuration and its result in FI posting and material price determination.

currently we set this value '1' and based on SAP explanation

"Variances between the plan price for the cost center/activity type
(or process) and the actual price calculated at the end of the period can be debited
to the cost object at period closing using the Revaluation at Actual
Prices function." but will not take into account in price determination process.

so what happened to this variance in FI? I mean will it has effect on WIP account and inventory or COGS, or it will remain in Price variance for ever?
