Extra fields added using EEW but not marked relevant for BW

Hi Clever People,

I need help. Quite a lot of extra fields were added to Business Activity in CRM using EEW. When this was generated there was a problem with the BW servers so the consultant was not able to make these fields BW relevant, hence the BW appends and bapi was not generated.

My question: is it possible to mark these fields relevant for BW and generate the BW appends and bapi without regenerating the whole EEW project?

Hi,

Running the wizard shall regenerate the project. While this is the best way forward, the downside is that any coding that you have done in the generated objects like BADI, screen, etc shall be lost.

Here is what i suggest. Relaese the transport requests which contains current objects. Regenerate the project.

Now using version management, retrieve only the objects where you have added some code.

for instance, you have added code in BADI method.

Goto this method, follow menu path -> Utilities->versions->version management

Select the previous version and say retrieve. Then just activate the code.

This is how you can selectively retrive your earlier code.

You are correct about losing all the code and screen that was developed. I will try your workaround that you suggested.

Why not regenerate? it's pretty easy and all changes will be handled for you..
