Hi all,
With 3.x ODS we can choose the "Reporting Bex" option to hide an ODS into Bex. It was essentially performance, but also useful for reporting.
Now in 2004s, with the 3 different types of Datastore, we cannot have the same functionality.
Is there any other solution to hide Datastore into Bex ?
In the same way, is there any solution to hide different master data's attributes ?
Best regards
If I have the characteristic data to be loaded to a DataStore Object with "SIDs Generation upon Activation" set I get the "SID Generation Error".
So, how do we set this option and still upload the data?
I am using ServicePack 7 as well

Hello,
now we have the option
"SIDs Generation upon Activation"
see Definition:
With the Generation of SID Values indicator you determine whether SIDs are generated when the data in the DataStore object is activated. If the indicator has not been set, no SIDs are generated and the activation process is completed in less time.
Note:
In NW2004s, queries based on DataStore objects can also be made if no SID values were generated during the activation. However, this reduces the performance of the query because the SID values are generated at runtime for the requested data. We recommend, therefore, that this indicator is always set, particularly if you want the query to be as efficient as possible.
The Generation of SID Values indicator has replaced the BEx Reporting indicator in BW 3.x.
As far I know, you can not hide a DataStore.
The only possible way I see is to put the DataStore in special InfoAreas.
Hiding a Attribute is not possible.
Best,
Michael
