FI-AA Fixed Assets Sequence of Data Extraction into BW 7.4

Hi, In SAP Documentation it mentions that 0FI_GL_4 must be run before 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT/0ASSET_AFAB/0FI_AA_11/0FI_AA12, but does not specifically give any details.

I found some information at the Wiki, but it's still not clear. It mentions this sequence is necessary for InfoCube Aggregation into the InfoCube from ODS. We are on 7.5 and not loading into InfoCubes.

Would anyone who has loaded FI-AA in 7.4/5 have some specifics behind this requirement?

Hi Kenneth,

Uploading master data before transactional data is a general best practice. If you derive some characteristics from attribute value of the asset, you have to load the master data before. This is what is mentionned in the Wiki. I assume this is because this master data is used in the business content data flow (?).

Concerning the 0GI_GL4, it's different. Either you don't need it and you can load your FI AA data without it. Either you already use it and it needs to run first. It is true for many FI data Sources, as soon as you use the FI_GL_4, it is becoming the leading dataSources for many FI dataSources (to ensure a consistent FI vision on the BI side).

The extraction procedure used is based on the procedure used for the General Ledger: Financial Accounting: Prodcedure for Line Item Extraction  .
