Transporting Query

Former Member

Hi,

I want to transport a query that has already been collected is some other transport request which hasnt been sent yet. How do I include the same query in my request?

Also, do all objects in one request have to be assigned to ONE package?

Thanks

Fran

Hi Fran,

All the objects in a request do not have to be assigned to one single package. There is no problem if objects from different requests are sent together in one request.

Would it do for you to include the other request in your request? Sometimes deleting query objects that are collected in a request can be very tedious...

Hi Bhanu,

I'm not sure if the other person is done making changes to it or not. But if I were to include it, would I have to include the task of that request or is the main request enough?

The main request would be fine so long as you know that all reqd changes to the query are done. But it would be good to check with the request holder to coordinate this...why do you really want to do so?

Fran,

If you are not sure then you will have to coordinate with him and check out if really wants to move that changes.

Only then collect that task in to your request and transport.

Did you solve the prob Let me know if no I had same prob may be your query elements are locked in his request .Tell the other guy to release it or you can unlock the other rek Se03 and delete your casue this is BEX rek you have to assign pak for BEX related objects.

hope that helps.
