FI postings with validation OB28 for CO-PA characteristics

Hi Experts,

I am looking for a way to validate CO-PA characteristics, for instance customer number, when posting in FI with CO-PA assignment, so FB50, FB60 etc..

I have created a separate validation step in transaction OB28 call point 2, which calls a user exit in a Z-program. Currently I can only find values in structures BKPF, BSEG and COBL, which all do not have any CO-PA characteristics. Anyhow I have BSEG-PAOBJNR available but do not know to which table or structure I should reference it. As far as I can see it is table CE4XXXX_ACCT only filled after the update, so not during the validation. Or do I need to use a different call point?

Has anyone a hint for me?

Hi, I definitely saw that CE4XXXX_ACT table not fill before save the data, so this table can not help validation process, please write certain and tested solution. SAP HANA

Hi Eli,

thank you for your answer. I have checked that thread before but unfortunately it has not helped me. I am not sure that is meant by "temporary table CE4xxxx_ACCT" because table CE4XXXX_ACCT is only updated after the posting and the table is not known in the FI validation exit. I tried also by declaring it with a table statement but it is still empty. Maybe a different kind of validation was used. Therefore I need to get the details.

As far as I remember, CE4XXXX_ACCT will be filled before. You can refer to this thread, where similar problem was presented.
