Hi there :),
in MFS with EWM 9.4 (or earlier) a new field "PLC Mode" is available if I want to define a SPS via SCM EWM > EWM > MFS > Master Data > Define PLC
What does this field mean? What behaviour would change if I set a specific value (Case Conveyor System; Case Conveyor System and Rack Feeder; Pallet Conveyor System and Rack Feeder)?
Unfortunately, if I try to define a Communication Point with a PLC which has a PLC Mode other than "Pallet Conveyor System and Rack Feeder", many fields like "IP" or "Clarification Bin" are not editable.
I hope someone will help me with this issue! 🙂 Many thanks in advance!
Hi,
"What does this field mean? What behaviour would change if I set a specific value (Case Conveyor System; Case Conveyor System and Rack Feeder; Pallet Conveyor System and Rack Feeder)?"
Originally MFS uses the Layout Oriented Storage control to describe the path which the warehouse tasks take. This is used when you select "Pallet Conveyor System".
A newer technique is "Case Conveyor", where a different kind of routing is used, but also the telegram looks different, it has no direct connection to a warehouse task (for details: https://uacp.hana.ondemand.com/http.svc/rc/PRODUCTION/dececb53ad377114e10000000a174cb4/1610%20001/en....
