Hi Experts,
My client wants to minimise set up and plan longer run of products having similar characteristics. I have studied some threads in SCN and found that set up group and set up type can be used for this purpose. I have following questions-
1) Depending upon set up groups, does MRP plan the materials with same groups together, or we need to use capacity levelling?
2) If capacity levelling to be used, what additional parameter/input will be needed to suggest scheduling of items with same set up group together?
3) Steps to implement this solution.
4) Any other way to meet this requirement (some BADI/BAPI during MRP run itself)?
Note - we are not using PPDS. So the requirement has to be achieved within SAP PP.
Thanks in advance for your help, as always.
Hi Gurus,
I followed the blog and did settings accordingly. However, I am not able to get the order sorting as per set up group.
I created a custom profile, and assigned to my user parameter CYA. However, when I run T.code CM25, the custom profile is not available for selection help.
Alternatively, I changed the std profile SAPPI_G001, assigned strategy profile SAP___T001, within which maintained dispatching sequence as SAPSFCSS14. However, my orders are still not sorted as per set up group/key.
Further, how can I see the set up group/key in planning table?

Hello
In order to use the set group, you need to use capacity leveling. You can find an example in the following SCN document:

Caetano
