How to compare planning data with actual data

Dear All,

I have successfuly created a transaction cube ZSD_C03 based on Sales and Distribution cube 0SD_C03. I also created Planning Area, Planning Level, Planning Package, Planning Layout and executed the planning package for the current month for some customers.

In the next month how do I compare the planning data with the actual data?

Is it possible to transfer this planning data to cube 0SD_C03, so that it can be used in a query?

Hi Lalit,

You should create two separate planning areas and for each, and then created a multi planning area, thereby you can compare the actual and planned data.

you need to create a MultiProvider on Actual and planning cubes to get actual and plan data in one report.

if you want to get actual and planned data in BPS webinterface/manual planning layout,you need go for multi planning area.

create a planning area on actual cube and in multi planing area,include these two planning areas.In planning level restrict 'planning area' with PL1 and PL2...add keyfigures and characteristic as per ur requirement and go for manual planning layout.

Dear Murali,

I am able to see the last year data for the desired customers and materials. I am also able to enter the planned data for different customers and materials.

But the problem is the planned data does not get saved in the ZSD_C03 cube.

When I come out of the planning session and start planning session again, I am able to see the planned data. That means the planned data has been saved somewhere.

Then the question is - where does the planned data get saved?

Once the planned data gets saved in ZSD_C03, then I can create a multi cube and a report based on that.

Am I missing some setting?

Hi Lalit,

this plannind data will be stored in planning buffer.U have to completely come out of BPS0 transaction and execute the layout then you would not see this planning data...its's not an issue...save the data and go ahead by creating multi cube.

Dear Lalit,

If u want a report on planned data, even u can create a query on ZSD_C03.

U can use RRI to jump from accual report to the planned report.
