How to delete rows in BI Integrated Planning

Hi All,

Does anyone have suggestions how to delete rows in BI Integrated Planning?

In the case of BPS, Manual Planning has a standard delete function(garbage icon) and we can delete rows one by one in manual planning.

However, I cannot find such a standard function in BI Integrated Planning.

Is it possible to delete rows one by one on BEx Analyzer or Web planning application based on BI Integrated Planning?

Best Regards,

Takuhito

Hi Takuhito,

the is no 'delete row' feature in BI Planning. It is also not so obvious what such a function should do in BI Planning. The reason is that input ready Queries in BI Planning will display zero recods by default. Since real time InfoCubes save delta records a 'delete' would create new delta records that only would aggregate to zero.

These records can only be 'deleted' by cube compression.

One may use the zero subpression in the Query and zero all key figure values as a work around. But zero subpression makes no sense e.g. when the combinations proposale is use (SP08, since this function creates zero records on the fly).

Gregor

Hi Gregor,

Thank you for your quick reply.

So when we'd like to delete a specific row on the Bex,

we have to input zero, don't we?

In my opinion, it is easier for end users to delete rows intuitively and BW create new delta records that only would aggregate to zero in the background.

This is why I'm asking.

And we can delete records phisically by compresstion with zero suppression.
