Dear community member,
We are looking for some tips for the below theoretical scenario:
Situation:
Company X has SAP ERP and SAP TM in use, creates deliveries and send the deliveries to a 4PL.
The 4PL (who only has a non SAP TMS in use) plans the received deliveries: calculates truck loads , assigns a carrier and calculates freight cost .
Now the 4PL sends the calculated "freight order" to the SAP TM of company X.
Could you explain us if a freight order can be created directly via an interface like this in SAP TM? Are the deliveries in SAP automatically assigned to the freight order in this case? What kind of message type should be used? Is there a better scenario, like sending freight units to the 4PL or receiving a forwarding order?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Mark Meeus
