Deleting some replicated materials from SRM

Dear All,

We have a requirement to have only certain types of materials replicated from ECC to SRM this is based on material type (ROW, NLAG & HAWA). Before this we used to replicate all materials down.

How can I delete the materials we do not require in SRM?

Do I have to delete all in SRM material first and do an initial load again?

How do I ensure that only materials based on a material type are always replicated to SRM?

Please provide me step by step instuctions & transactions to use..that would be greatly apprecaited.

We are using SRM 4(server 5.5) & ECC 4

Thanks,

Sheena

Try with program COM_PRODUCT_DELETE_ALL which will delete all products.

You can find more related programmes for material deletion by search with COM_PRODUCT_DELETE*.

In t-code R3AC1 create object filter settings on table MARA so that you can omit those records while replication.

Jagdish,

Thnks for your last response. I will follow your suggestions and let you know how I get on.

Anather question.

After I delete all material replicated to SRM and run T0code R3AC1 to set filters do I them run the initial load transaction R3as?

What transaction should I run to do delta replication after running the initial load program?

Or Will the delta replication happen automatically when new matrial based on the filter settings are created or when filtered/replicated materials are changed in the backend system?

Thank for your help

Hi Sheena,

Once you have launched the initial replication, the delta download is automatically activated.

Of course it will use the filter defined on object MATERIAL.

The only requisite is to have well configured R/3 CRMRFCPAR, in the flow type: I for Initial, D for delta or * for all.
