Web Template

Hi All,

we have a customised web template in which our company logo has been included. When I run the query in the web from the query designer I am getting the report in the standard web template. But I want to use the customised one instead of using the standard one.

How can I do this?

Best Regards,

James.

Hi James,

You need to set your custom web template as the std one. Yo can do this from SPRO > IMG > BW > Reporting relevant settings > Bex Web > Set Std web templates > Set your template name here.

Hope this helps...

Hi Bhanu,

If I make these settings would I be able to get the report in my customised template.

I just want to remember you that I am not creating any web report using WAD but I am just running the report

from the Query Designer directly.

Will this setting apply for only the web reports which we create in WAD and run from WAD or even if I run the query directly from my query designer or BEx(Tools->Launch in Web Browser).

Best Regards,

James.

Yes James, if you make this setting it applies to the web reports that are generated by publishing the report from the query designer, or from Bex analyzer.

This setting has nothing to do with the web templates (reports) that you create in the WAD.

Hope this helps...

Hi Bhanu,

When I go to the screen I found 4 fields

1.Ad-hoc Analysis

2.Broadcasting

3.Query Precalculation

4.Document Browser.

In which field should I give my customised template.

Also, if we make this setting once, can we take it off again means can we bring the template to the standard one again?

Best Regards,

James.

Put it in Ad-hoc Analysis. You can change the setting by deleting your entry. If you leave it blank, it will pick up the std web template again.

Hope this helps...

Hi Bhanu,

Excellent!!! It worked well and now I am able to run it using the customised one.

Thanks a lot for that...

One small question...

When I run the query in web, all the Char. in the Navigation Block are being sorted but not in BEx.

Is there any setting that I can make so that the Char. will not be sorted and appear in the same way as in BEx.

Best Regards,

James.

I don't think that there is a property setting for the Nav block to control this...never had to deal with it because we arrange the free chars alphabetically in queries too.

Hi,

Check the below link. It may be of some use...

(From a technical viewpoint, the BEx Broadcaster and broadcasting wizard represent the Broadcaster Web item, which is embedded in an otherwise empty Web application. This Web application (0BROADCASTING_TEMPLATE) is entered as the Standard Web Template for Broadcasting in Customizing under SAP Reference IMG ® SAP NetWeaver ® Business Intelligence ® Reporting-relevant Settings ® BEx Web ® Set Standard Web Templates. You can also specify another Web template as the Standard Web Template for Broadcasting, such as a template with your company logo.)

Hi A.H.P,

Thanks for the reply.

What should I do here. This screen shows 2 fields STYLE SHEET and TEMPLATE ATTRIBUTES.

Do I need to give the customized web template in the Style Sheet field? And, what should I give in the Template Attributes?

Than after that, just save it?

Best Regards,

James.
