Workflow for Time sheet

Hi all,

here I am with another scenario about workflow and a problem to solve.

I'm involved in the development of the workflow for <b>time sheet</b> and I need to use as approver the supervisor of the employee (read from IT0001),avoiding the standard solution with the organizational structure.

I've copied the standard task TS20000460 and defined a rule to read this superior (it works in test).

I set this task in customizing. When I write hours in CAT2 tx the workflow correctly starts but it doesn't set the user that the rule provides in output. I've not still set the checkbox "Automatic recipient" in SPRO to see the approver's user ID.

Did anyone solve this problem? Thanks.

Kind regards,

    Hi Angelo,

I take it you are using the "default rule" option to link the rule to your single step task?

Did you check you have set up the possible agents for the task - i.e. the security on the task. If the user isn't a possible agent they are not allowed to be a recipient.

Transaction PFTC menu path Additional Data > Agent Assignment. Use the Attributes... button to set it to general task for testing purposes. You can reassign it to a security role later if you like.

Also check HR struc auth is not stopping access to the task (object type TS) or the rule (object type AC).

      Hi Jocelyn,

      thanks for your reply.

I set the "Automatic recipient" in customizing for timesheet and so the employee will not choose the recipient. The code in the custom function module I defined for the rule of supervisor read in IT0001 now seems to work. It provides the userID of the correct superior (read in IT0105) starting from his personal number.

A strage error is still present: when I click on the hyperlink of the workitem received by the supervisor, I get a dump.

      Kind regards,
