Hi
I want to send an IDOC when a picking slip is generated. I did setup message type SDPICK in BD64 and outbound message type SDPICK in WE20. Message control is V5 ,Type SK00,Process code SD04.
The picking slip gets printed. No idoc are created.
What am i missing?

Go to NACE transaction and configure your output type for IDOC process.

Hi Giovanni,
Please check if there is Medium 'EDI' attached to the output type in Partner Function. You can check the same thru through NACT or NACE. Since the picking slip is generated, hence there will be Medium Print Output already there. Likewise for IDOC, there should be EDI medium also assigned.

Vikram

There is no indication of an EDI. If i add it ,what should the partner function be?
Do i need to add a processing routine?

Hi Giovanni,
You can use Partner Function as 'SP' Sold to Party.
and you also need to add the processing routine with Medium '6' Program 'RSNASTED' and Form Routine 'EDI_PROCESSING'.
If you are using ALE for sending IDOC then
Medium 'A' Program 'RSNASTED' and Form Routine 'ALE_PROCESSING'.

hi i doubt your partner function values are wrong as you have maintained both ALE and EDI as the Medium. You could use only EDI for your scenario..

I'm using Tcode : vl06O- Outbound Deliveries.
Then i select For Picking. I execute the report and the deliveries are displayed.
I then select a delivery, Create Group and save. The picking list is then printed.
Is this process i follow to create a picking going to work with EDI/ALE?

Hi Giovanni,
Could you please check what partner function you have assigned in the Outbound partner profile in WE20 for message type SDPICK. I believe the partner function in NACE and WE20 are different.

Vikram

Hi,
Could you check output mode in txn WE20 for the outbound options tab. Is it Transfer imm. or Collect Idoc.
Also check if there is any entry in table NAST for todays date based on Application, Message Type.
Cheers,
Vikram

Vikram
The transfer is imm.
The only entries in NAST for the date is the picking printout.
