Hello All.
We have created some roles which will be basicly used as folders to link the queries. We want that a user can only run the queries whoch is under his role. Is this possible?
Initially the user will only see the queries which are under their role, but if they click the "find" button, then they will be able to see the rest and to execute them.
Thanks all.
best Regards,
Alfonso.
Hi!
Have you even gotten this sloved?? I am facing the same issue. I would the 'Find' function only search all the queries assigned to the role.
Thanks
Joanna
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can possibly use the S_RS_FOLD authorization object to hide the InfoAreas button.
Thanks,
Jeff

Assigning that role to user's profile should solve your problem.

Hello Rohini.
We have already assign the role to the users. The problem is that we have other role which give them acess to all queries in our project. And this needed in order to avoid them to access other project´s queries, but we still want them to be able to run only the queries which are link to ecah folder.
Is any way to do this?
Best Regards,
Alfonso
I think you have complete only menu tab in role, haven't you? You can restrict access by infoarea, infoprovider... etc, but it must be done by authorization. You can use the authorization object specified in the post before as base of yours.

Hello Oscar.
The problem is that we have two different queries from the same infoarea, multiproveider, cube, etc, the only differece between them will be that they will be link to one specific role. At the same time we don´t want to restic by query name, because any query created by the user should also be abailable as soon as it is linked to the right folder...
Any ides??
Hi,
Check the below link for authorizations:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/80/1a6859e07211d2acb80000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
You can create roles in PFCG and assign authorizations as per your requirement.
Hope this helps you....
