Classic FI-SL Split Processor: Add New Splitting Characteristics CCtr/IO/WBS

Hi Gurus,

We're public sector and have been using classic Split Processor in special ledger module for online document splitting since 2003. We use SAP standard splitting characteristics business area and fund. SAP also allows splitting by 'Profit center', but we don't use that.

We now have a business need to have online document splitting by new characteristic 'cost object' e.g. cost center, IO, or WBS. I have researched OSS, but it appears SAP only offers those three 'splitting characteristics'. We want to split by cost object to record postings in the special ledger especially for 'Discounts Taken' that occur during F110 payment run.

Forgot to say that splitting characteristics cost center/IO/WBS may be possible via New GL, but we do NOT plan to use New GL.

Off the cuff can you add Order or WBSE to table T8G40 to see if it's available for splitting.

Also question for you when you split by fund how do the split line items get generated....For example for vendor B/S account does it get split to the original GL or does get posted to the zero clearing account?
