Copy a role from PRD to DEV

Hello. I need to copy an authorization role, including its authorization profile, from the PRD system to DEV system. The transport request just allows to create a local change request but cannot be transported. The download and upload option in transaction PFCG just copies the role, but not the authorization profile. Does anybody know how the role can be transported or the authorization profile be copied to the DEV system?

Thanks a lot. Dino

    Hi,

I think one way would be to:

    - create a transport order in PRD system

    - release it

    - copy the files generated on the PRD application server

    - import it into DEV system

It would be better if you have the support of your SAP admin guys for this kind of operation...

    Best regards,

    Guillaume

Authorization profile is generated in each system when you transport the role, i don't think u can transport the profile.

There's an option in PFCG to transport the profile along with role.

can you generate the role after downloading and uploading into DEV?
