Diff between pregenerate and precalculate queries and webtemplates !!!!

Hi,

I have heard that we can pregenerate the queries . what does it mean. what is the difference between this and

precalculating web templates ???

    for pre-generation take a look at this blog:

    /people/prakash.darji/blog/2006/01/26/query-optimization

    You also can generate reports for queries in RSRT then hit "generate Report"

    In brief: this optimizes the query code (sql syntax, ...)

    pre-calculation

    - can be used to fill cache mit query results, if a user runs a query, it should be much faster

    - as mentioned above for distribution of queries via email, ...
