How to convert 3,33333343523E+00 in infosource

Hi,

How can I convert data like 3,33323232E+00 into number without exponent? I need to convert this number in Infosource.

Must I write a routine or is there any formula I can use?

If there isn't any formula, can somebody write me ABAP code.

Was this a question? Well if it was, you just make calculate new key figure in query and use formula which converts 4,54352+E00 into TIME format, and you get 4:55:33 for example.

If this is keyfigure, in your query properties u can change it.

No, data come from R/3 and it's about maintainance. The downtime it's actually write in this format 3,4444+E00.

I thought i would need to convert it in infosource, but then i looked at key figure and saw that key figure is also type FLTP. But then I found formula in Query designer which converts this number in TIME.

try to use conversion exit FLOAT and take a look at function CONVERSION_EXIT_FLOAT_INPUT and _OUTPUT in se37.

hi Uros,

i guess you are getting data from flat file,

it's better you formatting the data in excel,

try to format that column as 'general', mark the column,

right click 'cell properties', and choose 'general' or 'text'.
