SARA - missed to give the plant range in the variant for a country

In the process of archiving using SARA, for the object MM_MATBEL, for one country in the created variant I have missed to give the plant range that has to be given. What are the consequences now ? All the plants' will be considered to be archived because of this ? This is a production system and I am worried if the required plants' data has also been archived and unavailable in the SAP system

What consequences this has for you has to be clarified with your supervisor, I think nobody in the community can tell you that.

If you missed to enter the correct range then you certainly archived more as you wanted. You should actually be able to verify this yourself, as there are transactions to read records from the archive. e.g. SARE or just by using the READ button in SARA

Restoring is not foreseen for material documents, which does not always mean that it is absolutely impossible, but there are more things to clarify in detail and by looking into your system. If that is absolutely needed then you best get in touch with SAP, better sooner than later.

Some standard transactions like MB51 can read and display archived documents.
