Spro-Define Company

i don't know if this is the right forum but i have this problem :

when i go to transaction spro -> sap reference IMG -> Definition - > financial Accounting -> Define Company.

i see a view of companies and the name of the company.

i want to change one company but i have a limit of 30 chars.

there is any way to do it ??

i have a company name's length more then 30 chars.

In SPRO, go to .

Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
-->Enterprise Structure
   -->Financial Accounting
      -->Define, copy, delete, check company code
         -->Edit Company Code Data

Select the company code you want to edit, in the subsequent screen. After selecting click on a small white envelop icon in the application toolbar that says 'Address'.

This opens up the central address management screen. This is where you can maintain upto 40 characters of first name and also maintain upto 4 name lines. All the addresses are stored in the central address management tables ADR* and the link to these tables is through the address number that will be linking the address to the object such as company code. So in T001 you will find the field ADRNR that links the company code to the address in ADRC where the extended address is stored.

Well it's help me for the form but in every sap transaction i'll see the old company name (coz i didn't change it because the length limit 20 char).

but can i do now??

max field Lenth is 30 , so u cannt chage that limit.

In that case you have to maintain a long text for your company.

i need to change the company name because all the forms that refers to the company name is taken from spro.
