BW Upgrade: SUM Error during Check Phase

Hello Experts,

I have checked few related blogs but i dont find the proper solution. I am doing upgrade from BW NW 7.01 to BW NW 74. Using SUM SP19 and I am at Check Phase now where I get the following Error.

Background Job RSUPGRCHECK Failed

SUM-Phase: PREP_GENCHECKS/RUN_RSUPGRCHECK_PRE

Errors occurred during ACTIVATION CHECK.

I have manually done the following steps:

InfoObjects:

  • Transaction RSD1 -> Extras -> Repair InfoObjects (F8).
  • Choose ‘Execute repair’
  • Choose ‘Expert mode -> Object selection’
  • In the window that now appears, activate the following checkboxes, too: “Check Generated Objects”, “Activate incon. Infoobjects”, “Check DDIC Objects”, “Check Generated THJ Characts”, and “Deletion of DDIC/DB Objects”.
  • Execute the program


Before doing this error log was too long but now I only get the above error. Kindly help me and if there is any other pre-requisite for BW Upgrade kindly share. I am doing this for BPC upgrade but system is BW NW.
