in FILE TO IDOC how can I use the unc path

Yes, you can use UNC.

The UNC file path, consisting of the server, share-name, and path must be accessible from the XI server by the SAP system administrator OS userid.

In the Comm Chan, the "Source Directory Path" can be in one of the following format:

server
share_name
path

or

//server/share_name/path
