Hello!
I just tried to install Oracle 9.2 on SUSE Linux .
It hangs during install:
runInstaller says :
Installing Oracle required support files 32 bit 9.2.0.1.0
link pending
copying naeet.o
And it stays forever.
Please suggest.
Thanks
Chimsik
Hi,
Make sure you have set the kernel environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21

Hi , Mike , im having the same issue on RED HAT 5
"Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x uses the Native Posix Threading Library, a
POSIX-compatible threading implementation, for threading. Unlike former
versions of RHEL, using LinuxThreads for older applications by way of
setting the environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL to 2.4.1 doesn't work
anymore and will probably prevent most programs from being run at all if it
is set."
what shoul i do in this case?
thanks in advice!
sorry for my english
regards!
