Hello everybody,

we got several communication channels running on the same file-adapter.

But in adapter monitoring only ONE communication channels is shown.

The other communication channels are not shown although we expected them at least with an error.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot

Mario Müller,

There are 2 kinds of adapters,

Type A

and

Type B

Type A

File, JDBC, RFC, SOAP, Mail.

Type B

XI and BC.

Type A

adapters have a separate adapter inst for each comm channel.

Type B

adapters, one inst for all comm. channels.
I guess adapter u mentioned is of

Type A

and so only one comm channel is shown for that instance.

Hope this helps.

Reward if helpful.

Hello everybody,

we solved it on our on. If anybody should have the same problems:

<u>Performing Initial Adapter Engine Cache Refresh</u>

Perform the initial cache refresh of the Adapter Engine by executing the following URL:

http://<host>:<Java-Port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full

Where <host> is the Adapter Engine host and <Java-Port> is the HTTP port of the J2EE engine (The following naming convention applies: 5<Java_instance_number>00. 50000, for example, if your Java instance is 00).

Log on data: XIDIRUSER with password

Check that the response indicates that the cache refresh has been successfully executed.

(from XI30InstallGuide.pdf)

Hi,

I think, you have chosen the selection criteria only for the Correct one in the Page.. Check with All information in adapter monitoring screen.

Following will be looked once you don't have any adapters are visible..

Check SAP BASIS Content is imported in the IR or not.

Check this thread also-

If I have understanded right, you're using the same Adapter in more than one scenario, is that so?

If so, you'll only have one entry for this adapter in adapter monitoring, but this one entry will log all the messages that goes through this adapter, for any configuration that uses it.
