Customization in UWL not reflecting

Former Member

Hi all,

I want to make some customization in my uwl iview. For the same, I have made changes as specified in the how-to guide available on service.sap.com. I downloaded the uwl standard xml made changes in it, renamed, uploaded, and assigned it to the right system. But the changes are not getting reflected. I have also enabled the "display support" option in the UWL iview which shows that the 'item type configuration name' remains the same and does not change to the new xml file.

I have read help.sap.com and most of the forums on SDN regarding UWL customization, but I havent got the soln. I havent restarted the server yet (as its not in my hands) but i ve read this doesnt requires a restart.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Prathamesh

Hello Prathamesh,

Normally you don't need a server restart indeed. Be sure to set the priority of your new file to 'High', so it's used instead of the standard xml. The UWL uses for each system the xml file with the highest priority.

Hope this helps,

Freek

Hi Prathamesh,

Save the original standard.xml outside and make the changes you require and overwrite it on the standard.xml.

Thanks,

Gopal.
