Alternative for Production Resources / Tools functionality in S/4 HANA?

Hello experts,

Scrolling through the S/4 HANA 1610 simplfication list, I noticed that SAP Production Resources / Tools functionality is not considered as target architecture. However, SAP also states that there is currently no functional equivalent available (yet).

What's your view on this? Any ideas on the direction that SAP will take with regards to this functionality? Or any ideas how to manage this when implementing S/4 HANA?

There is no functionality available in S4HANA yet to replace the PRTs, that's why they were kept in the current releases. It means that you can still use PRTs, while SAP does not deliver a functionality to replace them.

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the fact that it can still be used at the moment. However, my client is preparing a greenfield implementation, so I'm investigating future-proof solutions for tool management in PP and PS. We'd rather go for a solution which is part of the SAP target architecture. Unfortunately it seems that there's no real future-proof solution from SAP yet.
