Loading Product Hierarchy from flatfile

Hello,

I have read from the book and some websites. They mentioned that hierarchy could be loaded from flatfile. I wonder if it is necessary to use the hierarchy table structure as a template.

<b>Requirements from users:</b>

> Users would like to maintain product master from SQL Server.

> They do not want to maintain product master in SAP-CRM because not all fields could be maintained.

<b>Limitation:</b>

> SAP-BW is running on UNIX platform. It is unable to be used DB Connect technique. Only way to extract data from SQL Server is from flatfile.

Has anyone ever got this kind of requirements? Could you share any idea?
