No bill of material found for product

Hi friends,

I am creating a VAS order without BOM for kit to stock.

but I am getting message "No bill of material found for product"

What if the difference between VAS order with and without BOM from business perspective.

Why system is searching BOM though I am creating VAS order without BOM.

Regards

Srini

    Hi,

well, from a business perspective... don't really know. If you have a BOM, you probably would also produce that material in production. It also means that you have master data, means maintenance. Having Kit to stock without a BOM might be for something which is a one time thing. Or where the components are always different, depending what you have (but without going through the hassle of using APO for supersession).

Can you show some screenshots of what you are doing? When you select "without BOM", what is the selection pop-up coming up?
