Message modification with NOTEPAD: "invisible" letters

Hello everybody,

out XI is listening to an FTP. On FTP there are several *.txt files. Some of the files I have to mofify. When I modify the message in NOTEPAD everything looks finde. By when XI picks up the message I see in SXMB_MONI some strange letters.

Any workaround?

try opening with excel and modify..notepad is a bit clumsy..

Are you using some special characters in the file?

Try chnaging the encoding scehema in your File Adapter to , <b>ISO-8859-1</b>.

Think it would solve your problem.

Check the content under FileType and try using the different encoding schemas.

I cannot change the communication parameters, because we are in the testing phase. Some I have to modify the message with notepad. Or is it possible to modify the message in XI?
