Hierarchy Problem

Hi BW Friends,

I need your help desparately.

I created hierarchy in dev.system. But how to transport to testing server, is there any option or do we need to create manually there also.

Actually I extracted hierrachy from R/3 and modified manually, means added some more nodes.

Now i want to transport this hierarchy to quality, because all the reports are based on this hierarchy.

Hi,

Down load the data from your Hierarchy table (/BIC/H<Info object> of DEV BIW to Excel sheet. And then use that sheet to upload the data to QA BIW.

As the above post says, The hierarchies are created on the InfoObject like how attributes and texts are transported, hierarchies will also be transported. Also there is no option to select the HIERARCHIES in 3.5

Hi ,

Have you transported the info object on which hierarchy is based. Hierarchy tables are maintained for the for the characteristic . I think if you transport the info object hierarchy will be also transported .
