Replication - .hdbreptask deployment error

67 Views Last edit Sep 01, 2023 at 07:22 AM 5 rev

Dear community,

we are currently trying to deploy a .hdpreptask via the Business Application Studio (BAS). The remote source was already defined and could be accessed from our target source via virtual tables. the next step is to have a replication task up and running from the remote source to the target source. The configuration via the editor works as expected as described in the following blog post: RepTask

Still, once we deploy the .hdpreptask file to HANA this always results in a "Database error 403: internal error: Unable to set as DDL autocommit off the transaction used in the remote source" error. We also switched off the autocommit as described here: switchOffAutocommit but this did not help. It seems like this depends on the replication behavior that is chosen. If we select the option initial load only the deployment works fine. The error appears for all the other options. Still, we would need the option "initial + realtime with structure" to succeed.

does anyone know how to solve this?

Best Regards

Max
